Approved Materials
All Valordek installations must use approved adhesives and system components to maintain warranty coverage. The following materials have been tested and approved for use with Valordek membranes:
Adhesives:
- Sika 2170-R: Contact adhesive for 60mil Ultra Series (Smooth-Back)
- Valordek VD 0295: Contact adhesive for 68mil Premium Series (Fuzzy-Back)
- DuraPro AF 3275: Water-based latex adhesive (low VOC alternative)
Sealant:
- MasterSeal NP1: Professional-grade sealant for joints and transitions
Substrate Preparation:
- MAPEI Planipatch: Cement-based patching compound for substrate prep

Both Valordek membrane systems exceed the requirements of code 37.54.95, the Canadian standard for waterproof membranes used on decks over living spaces. This means Valordek products are approved for:
- Balconies over living space
