Just like everything around us, over time, sun exposure will slightly affect the colour of your Valordek vinyl deck. When it comes to choosing a brand of vinyl decking, it’s important to choose a brand that has been tested over the years and proves it can stand up to the elements, including UV exposure, and that is exactly what Valordek has done over the years.
The best way to extend the life of your deck is to avoid using chemicals on your vinyl— just use soap and water! When dealing with tough stains, Valordek offers cleaning and rejuvenation products that are made especially for vinyl.
Vinyl decking is relatively maintenance free! A quick wash a few times year to keep the deck looking new is all it takes.

Valordek vinyl decking is designed and tested to withstand temperatures ranging from -40 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius.
Valordek vinyl products do not require a professional for Installation.
Valordek is adhered to the substrate using specially developed contact cement. If you’re laying multiple pieces, a 1” overlap is required, along with a hot air welder to join the seams and create a continuous water flow. The vinyl is then detailed on the outside edge flashing and topped off with the PVC edge clip to hold the vinyl together with the flashing to avoid separation to keep a positive water flow off the deck away from the fascia board to prevent rot.
Valordek is best installed on 5/8 TG plywood or untreated concrete. Valordek should not be installed on the following:

Valordek is manufactured in the United States.
Valordek is constructed with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Manufacturers add UV screens and stabilizers to prolong the life of PVC materials, and these additions are designed to prevent cracking, embrittlement, and discolouration. The thicker the vinyl is, the greater its resistance to UV degradation.
Valordek is distributed in 72” wide rolls, but we can cut any length up to 480 lineal feet. If required, we offer master rolls which contain up to 2,880 square feet of vinyl.
